People of the Twenty‐First Century is a fascinating collection of "anti‐sartorial" photographs of street life by Dutch conceptual artist & street photographer Hans Eijkelboom. Eijkelboom spent time observing passersby before recognizing a common type, whether a garment or a behavior: people in band T‐shirts, women in suit dresses, men pushing shopping trolleys. From Amsterdam to NYC and Paris to Shanghai, these photographs, taken over a period of more than 20 years, provide a cumulative portrait of the people of the twenty‐first century.
