About the Designer
In 1966, Margot Fraser returned from a trip to a German resort with a pair of traditional leather sandals. The comfortable, ethically made shoes connected with the ’60s mantra of peace and love, so Fraser went back for more. Over time, Birkenstock has evolved from a 19th-century family shoemaker to an Industrial-era staple to an iconic totem of the Woodstock generation. Today, Birkenstock takes on new appeal with original and updated styles of sandals and shoes.
Buy them!
Have always hated flip flops but wore them out of necessity. Never wearing a flip flop again! These Birks are my new favorite shoe.

These are just great light weight, comfortable, inexpensive, and of course Birkenstock
They are great for the beach around the house not so much in the hot sun as they are not leather and heat up quick but all in all for the money you cant go wrong and the fit like a glove as always with Birkenstock's as they are always my sandel of choice have not owned these yet but will see how they hold up my Arizona's lasted almost 10 years cant beat that for a 100 bucks

Great alternative to leather
These have been pretty comfortable to wear. And being a non-leather wearing vegetarian, these are a great alternative to the traditional leather Birks.
