Size up!
I'm usually a 28 or 29 in jeans depending on the brand. I ordered a 29 in these and they could barely be buttoned. I can tell that I will really like them, so will return and order a size 30 which hopefully will fit perfectly. Also of note is that I'm 5'5" and these go to my ankle.

Love...
Great ankle length denim! I love that these are skinny, ankle and with the released hem. Fit well. I'm usually a 25 or 26 in jeans, and I took a 26 in these. I have many pairs of rocket cropped and full length, so I knew what size I like in these jeans. High quality, no question.

amazing jeans!
I love Citizens jeans and these are no exception. They are perfectly on-trend and the denim is super-soft. These just fit better than any other high-rise boyfriend jeans out there, and are worth every penny. I'm petite (5'4") and they make my legs look long and sexy!

Classics---as denim should be!
You know that feeling when you put on a pair of jeans and you don't want to take them off? Me either. Until I got these. ;) Sizing is what I expected. I used to wear 27 in Citizens jeans but I've gained 5-or-so pounds; now I wear 28s in most brands. I bought the 27s anyway, since they are more of a mom/boyfriend fit. It worked out perfectly. They fit well in the waist, hips and butt---snug but not too tight. On top of that, the wash and weight is perfect. They are so soft you will want to live in them.

Cute mom jeans
Cute, comfy mom jeans! I wanted a pair cropped flares but chickened out and got these instead - the safer, less trendy style. They're cute - kind of like a fitted boyfriend jean. I'm wearing them for the second day in a row. I've been wearing them with heels and cuffed (which makes them look more like boyfriend jeans). I'm 5'4" and they hit me right at my ankle. I may get them hemmed to hit a bit above my ankle, like they do on the model. I usually wear a 24 in jeans and I ordered a 24 in these and they fit as expected. The only thing I don't love about these is that they button all the way up in front (no zipper) which would be fine but sometimes when I'm sitting it looks like my fly is open, when it's not....

Regret not sizing down
I love the styling and overall look of these jeans, however I ordered size 27 which is what I have usually worn in CofH jeans. Upon first putting them on, they just fit, but after wearing for about an hour they have stretched out significantly and sit low on my waist rather than high where they should sit. I SO wish I had ordered or exchanged for size 26 before removing the tags! The price is not bad for jeans you love, but I feel guilty spending that much on jeans that could be so much better in the right size. Because these are a cotton/rayon blend without any spandex/elastane, there is not the recovery of stretch fabrics, so consider that before choosing your size or buy more than one size so you can compare and return the one that doesn't work. If only I could go back in time. Maybe I'll sell the 27's on ebay and reorder in 26. :(

Disappointing - too small
I read review after review before I took the plunge and purchased these recently. Everyone is saying true to size, some saying smaller, some even saying larger. So confusing.... I normally wear a 29 in Citizens of Humanity (Corey's) and a 29 in Rag & Bone (Dre's) so I thought I'd better size up to 30. Well, I couldn't even get them to my hips. So, if you have hips, consider buying a larger than usual size. I returned them straight away. Such a shame.

Ran VERY small for me
I ordered these a size up from my usual size because of the no stretch fabric and some of the reviews that said they ran small through the thigh. I'd have to agree that they run VERY slim in the thighs as well as small overall. I have average sized, but athletic thighs and a size up was still much too small. However, I love the wash and the vintage feel, so I'm returning that size and ordering up another 2 sizes (so 3 up from my usual) in hopes that they won't be too big and require tailoring. If you have average, athletic, or larger thighs, size up. For reference, I am 5'3", usually a solid size 28 in COH & AG, I tried a 29 in these and will return and reordered a 31.

Love this denim
I hesitated before buying these jeans, firstly because they're on the expensive side but also because I'd read so many conflicting reviews about the sizing. I'm normally a size 27 in J brand and Frame denim so I purchased a 27 in these thinking they ran big. Well boy was I wrong, they were basically falling off me. Swapped them for a 26 which seemed to fit better, until I wore them once and they have bagged out at least a size. I can't believe I could possibly be a 25 but now I wish I'd tried them. Apart from that the denim is gorgeous, the right mix between rigid and soft and the faded colour is just right. I think I've lost a bit of the cool factor because they're a bit baggier than they should but other than that I still like them

Just as pictured
I'm usually between 27 and 28; as I've gained about 3 pounds, I ordered the 28 and they were perfect. I'm 5.6", 127 lbs and they fit -minding the differences- as in the model. Wash is true to the picture as well (more accurate than other sites I checked). As another reviewer says, they have no stretch, so I'm afraid they may not be as comfortable for some. They do though have the give of cotton, so they adapt a bit to your body but don't lose their shape. To me, pocket placement and size are key and they get them just right. These jeans elongate you and have a more modern and feminine shape than boyfriend jeans. It's the right combination of slouch and tight. What they don't do is suck your tummy in, but that is a given with the "mom jean" style. So it's a little more tricky to wear but still more forgiving and chic than cropped flares IMO.

They run big
I'm normally a size 24 in jeans and I got these in that size, but had to send them back as they were really too big on me.

Not at all as pictured
I was very excited about these jeans. Unfortunately, the color is not AT ALL as pictured (on my screen at least). I was expecting a medium blue with heavy light-blue fading. They are actually more of a "dirty" blue rather than a true blue. I consulted many websites to determine the true color of these jeans, & there was a lot of variation, which made me hesitant. A reviewer below said the color shown on this site is true to the real thing, which is what pushed me to buy them. Now, I find that I essentially paid $100 to try these jeans on as Shopbop does not reimburse customs charges (I live abroad) even though I sent them back within 24 hours. I decided to write this review to give a more complete picture if someone is on the fence. I sized down & they fit OK. They are soft, but they are heavier than expected (lyocell-blend jeans are light & soft, for example). If you like the "dirty" denim look, then buy them. If you're expecting a vintage fade like AG jeans, then don't buy these!!

Nice pair
These jeans are a great fit for my body type. I'm fairly petite with a smallish waist but am wider across my hips than shoulders. Somehow they make my butt look less flattened out than most jeans do, maybe it's because they sit a bit higher on the waist. They give me a very feminine silhouette which I like. I went a size smaller beasue they stretch out a bit,. This is my second pair of these jeans and I'm very happy with them.
